Apple Maps Taking up Storage

The Apple Maps was taking up around 10GB of my storage, and deleting and optimising storage did not help, but what did work for me was the following:

1) Settings

2) Privacy and Security

3) Location Services

4) System Services

5) Significant Locations -> Clear data and toggle option off

6) Restart iPhone and check the storage free up space

(Fixed) Apple Maps "Documents and Data" Storage Issue Recently experienced issues with Apple Maps taking up roughly 19 gigs of data. Steps taken to address issue: Delete/redownload app + cleared stored guides (did not work); Cleared maps history (from Apple Support): Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > System Services, then tap Significant Locations. Tap Clear History (did not work); Create backup + restore the device + redownload back up onto iPhone (from Apple Support) (WORKED). Third option was the winner. Although time consuming, Apple Maps is now less than 100 MB in storage.

Apple Maps is taking up to 5 GB of iPhone storage When I go to check my iPhone storage, Apple Maps is taking up to 5 GB of it. I don't have any offline maps. I tried uninstalling the app, but even after that, I still see the storage being taken up as "Maps Data" [Re-Titled by Moderator]
