The in(put)s and out(put)s of the Drosophila circadian clock
Catharine E Boothroyd et al. Ann N Y Acad Sci. 2008.
Abstract
Circadian clocks are aligned to the 24-h environmental day via zeitgebers, and information from the clock must be relayed to the rest of the organism. Recent studies addressing temperature as an input to, and the generation of rhythmic gene expression as an output from, the Drosophila central clock are discussed.
