- "AMCM is, "de facto", the central bank for the Territory of Macau.
We can say that its history began in the 1st of January 1980, date of the foundation of the Issuing Institute of Macau (IEM).
In the 1st July 1989, adopted the actual designation of Monetary and Foreign Exchange Authority of Macau, in portuguese Autoridade Monet�ria e Cambial de Macau, shortly AMCM."
