Falcon Research Group

Welcome to the Falcon Research Group...

The Falcon Research Group (FRG) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the support of field research, public education, and the conservation of raptors.

For over 20 years, the Falcon Research Group has been conducting raptor research in Western Washington, USA, and throughout the world. Our Hawkwatching classes have given hundreds of people an insight into the lives of birds of raptors. Thousands of Seattle citizens have followed the activities of local peregrines on the Washington Mutual tower via our web camera.

Southern Cross Peregrine Project - Phase II

Welcome back to the Southern Cross Peregrine Project. Thanks to the generous financial support of our remarkable FRG membership, we are now entering the second phase of the Project. Read more about Phase II here.

Entiat Ridge Project -

In the fall we study raptor migration at Entiat Ridge in the Cascade Mountains. Each season we band 200 to 350 birds. Read more on the Entiat Ridge Hawk Migration page.
