Meet the team at a fundraiser full of oriental charm, fortune cookies and bunny ears with Propaganda DJs playing rock/ska/punk/pop/dance/alternative music all night.

Wanna be a Roller Girl? Think you have got what it takes? Join GCRG!

Granite City Roller Girls are excited to be holding their next quarterly Fresh Meat session at the Aberdeen Lads Club (Dill Road) from 14:00 - 16:00 on 5th February 2011.

Come along and see what Roller Derby is all about.

No experience needed, we will teach you everything you need to know, and you can borrow skates and protective equipment till you are addicted and rush out to get all your own gear.
All that we ask is that you are over 18 and eager to learn this fantastic sport.

Joining GCRG is a brilliant way to get fit and meet new people!

Yes this is a women's sport but GCRG are on the look out for referees, so any guys who would like to get involved in the sport should pop along too!

The Northern Fights take on the FCR Fear Maidens (Perth) in a bout sure to be filled with all the joys of the season. There'll be mistletoe, carols and plenty of wine at the afterparty :)

Jingle Bell Block Flyer

Down the rabbit hole, through the looking glass and straight to the gates of Wonderland!! Jammerblocky has been and gone already, but what an awesome day. Final score: GCRG 56 - DRR 82.

Right from the off it was easy to see that the two teams were evenly matched. It remained close most all the way through; we were winning by two, they were winning for three, we were winning by four etc, etc. But, a few jams before the end, the Dolly's literally rocketed with some power jams that soared them into the lead. Well done on your win Rockits, and we love you all still! Looking forward to the rematch some time next year.

And the after-party was pretty good too, from what I remember!! A huge, massive, mega well done and congratulations to the GCRG burlesque dancers who created a special dance tribute to our guests. I think we can safely say they enjoyed it!!
