The awards have honoured some of the biggest names in men's and women's international cricket. Each award is voted for by a specially selected panel, which this year consists of former players, respected members of the media and an elite umpire and match referee. Previous ICC Awards ceremonies have been held in London (2004), Sydney (2005), Mumbai (2006), Johannesburg (2007 and 2009), Dubai (2008), Bangalore (2010), London (2011) and Colombo (2012). In 2013 and 2014 the ICC Awards changed format to a television show.
