About The Royal

Welcome to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. This teaching hospital is located on the edge of Edinburgh and has around 500 Junior Doctors. It is a major centre for research and is next to the Medical School of the University of Edinburgh.

There is a well equipped Postgraduate Centre and strong links with teaching and research teams at the University. Junior doctors also have access to the University library.
