When arriving in or exiting from Hong Kong you can choose one of 13 control points. The following table describes control points covering air, land and sea travel, provides relevant details on their use, and lists opening hours.

Immigration Control Points Situation Upon Entry Opening Hours
1. Hong Kong International Airport

Shorter waiting time for entry. Terminal 1:
24 hours
2. Lo Wu

The major land boundary control point, with a purpose-built Visitor Clearance Hall. During peak hours, the waiting time for clearance is longer, especially during peak travel seasons, holidays and weekends. 6:30 am to midnight
3. Lok Ma Chau

The land boundary control point for cross boundary vehicles such as Lok Ma Chau-Huanggang Cross Boundary Shuttle Buses, cross boundary coaches, cross boundary goods vehicles (to and from Futian Bonded Zone only) and cross boundary private vehicles, etc. During peak travel seasons, holidays and weekends, the waiting time for clearance maybe longer. 24 hours
4. Lok Ma Chau Spur Line

During peak hours, the waiting time for clearance is longer, especially during peak travel seasons, holidays and weekends. 6:30 am to 10:30 pm
5. Man Kam To

Shorter waiting time for entry. 7:00 am to 10:00 pm
6. Sha Tau Kok

Clearance services at Sha Tau Kok Control Point have been suspended. Clearance services have been suspended until further notice.
7. China Ferry Terminal

Shorter waiting time for entry. 7:00 am to midnight
8. Macao Ferry Terminal

Shorter waiting time for entry. 24 hours
9. Shenzhen Bay

One of the busy land boundary control points in Hong Kong. During peak hours, the waiting time for clearance is longer, especially during peak travel seasons, holidays and weekends. Passenger Clearance Building and private cars' passenger clearance services:
6:30 am to midnight
Goods vehicle clearance services:
24 hours
10. Kai Tak Cruise Terminal

Shorter waiting time for entry. 6:00 am to 11:00 pm

(Subject to the berthing schedule of cruise liner)

11. Express Rail Link West Kowloon

During peak hours, the waiting time for clearance is longer, especially during peak travel seasons, holidays and weekends. 6:30 am to 11:30 pm
12. Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge

The first land-boundary control point linking Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macao. 24 hours
13. Heung Yuen Wai

The first land boundary control point that offers “direct access by passengers and vehicles”. 7:00 am to 10:00 pm
